The first Australian to be accepted into the Young Artist Program at the Opéra National de Paris, mezzo soprano Louise Callinan is also the winner of the prestigious AROP prize of Opéra National de Paris. 

She has performed with BBC Symphony, Chicago Symphony, l'Orchestre National d'Ile de France, Théâtre du Châtelet, LA Opera, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Opera Australia, Israeli Opera, Opéra de Rennes, Angers Nantes Opéra et Théâtre de l'Opera Luxembourg. 
Louise also sang the role of 2nd Lady in the epic film version of The Magic Flute directed by Kenneth Branagh.

Beginning her career with roles such as Angelina in La CenerentolaRosina in Il barbiere di SivigliaDorabella in Cosi fan tutte. Louise has interpreted numerous roles at Opéra National de Paris, notably Meg Page in Falstaff conducted by Conlon, une Femme in Manoury's Opera K..., 2nd Lady in Die ZauberflöteSuor Zelatrice in Suor Angelica conducted by Philippe Jordan and Samaritana in Francesca da Rimini, conducted by Daniel Oren. 

Louise has now moved into the dramatic mezzo repertoire and has recently performed Tigrana in Edgar and Dalila in Samson et Dalila for Opera Valladolid, Erda in Das Rheingold and Siegfried and Waltraute in Götterdämmerung extensively touring to Porto, Casa Da Musica, Strasbourg - Palais des fëtes, Paris - Cité de la Musique, Théâtre de Nîmes, Théâtre de Caen, Théâtre de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, Grand Théâtre de Reims, Grand and Théâtre de Luxembourg. For Opera Bélarus Minsk, she debuted as Amneris in Aïda, and performed the title role in Herodiade by Massenet, returning to Opera Valladolid. 

Recent projects include Laura Adorno in La Gioconda in Valladolid, Spain and a return to Opéra National de Paris for Rossweisse in Die WalküreWellgune inDas Rheingold and Götterdämmerung conducted by Philippe Jordan. 
Louise is currently singing 2nd Lady in Die Zauberflöte at Opéra National de Paris and she will debut in Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde with REMIX ensemble at the Casa da Musica in Porto.

On the concert platform highlights include Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde with REMIX ensemble at the Casa da Musica in Porto,  Opera in the Arboretum open air concert in Australia alongside Cheryl Barker and José Carbó; Handel’s Messiah with the Sydney Philharmonia and the Verdi Requiem at the Royal Festival Hall, London.

Upcoming performances include: From Russia with Love concerts with Scottish Opera and Ressurreicao with the Remix Ensemble at Casa di Musica, Portugal.
